Elizabeth Poey - Alvin's Inspiration in Life
Elizabeth Poey left her body on 13 Oct 2013, after many years of living with cancer. More significantly, after 61 years of leading an adventurous and colourful life, and making transformative impact on thousands of students, like me.
Liz, may you fly free to the beyond. But for sure, your teaching and presence will stay on in me forever, serving as guiding light in my own journey through life.
Thank you for infecting me with the love for the mountain, Mother Nature and adventure. Thank you for showing me the way to love, to give, to nurture others and more importantly, to live a life filled with joy and zest.
Thank you, my teacher, mentor, inspiration and friend. |
On 14 Oct, ex-students and teachers and friends gathered to celebrate Liz's 61 years of colourful life at her wake at her Rifle Range home. Rest in peace, Liz.

Happy birthday, Robyn. We celebrated with an apple strudel 'cake' and honey BBQ chicken at home.
At 15, Robyn is enjoying school, soccer, guitar, piano and of course, manga over the web and mobile games. Happy hardy 15, Robyn.

It's really a challenge to eat without teeth.
Grandpa's upper row of teeth were all gone. The answer was to fit a denture.
Grandpa is now looking more handsome again and is ready to head to the KFC. He's even eyeing chilli crabs... : ) |

| Once again, Alvin was invited back to De La Salle School to deliver a talk on Entrepreneurship to the Primary 6 cohort to prepare them for their entrepreneurship week. It was Alvin's 3rd talk there even though Robyn has left DLS since 2011. |

Robyn enrolled with the Youth Soccer Academy for weekly soccer training. It's time to gear up for her soccer 'career'. Perhaps one day, she will play alongside CR7 as RY17.
