5 Jul 2015: QMC Tea Session & Durain
It was a tea session held at the British Club by Alvin's alma mater Queen Mary College, University of London. That usually means an opportunity to catch up with some old pals. Alvin met only Boon Hou and Robert Lim this afternoon. |
In the evening, we enjoyed some Malaysian durains. Alas, we are really poor at selecting good durains. In fact, we have no idea how to pick durains at all!

Alvin shared the story of Tigerland Rice Farm. The exhibition was creatively set up with wooden crates and wire mesh. It was a pity that the organizer didn't do sufficient publicity to attract a bigger crowd. We had a good chat with organizer and social entrepreneur Pei Fen though. |
21 Jul 2015: PSG Racial Harmony Day @ Unity Secondary School
It's once again Racial Harmony Day in Unity Secondary School and the PSG tradition for parent volunteers to cook and serve the school. |
Parents took leave to home-cook multi-racial cuisines from curry, roti prata, mee hoon, chicken drumsticks, herbal eggs, fish balls, cakes, etc. |
We raised a total of $600 and donated it all to the school's Financial Assistance Scheme to help the needy students. |

We are proud to have a very enthusiastic team of parent volunteers this year. |

Alvin being interviewed for his Tigerland Rice Farm (Thailand) as well as Children's Garden Home (Kenya) social projects.
|

It was amazing how they managed to video record the interview given the noise level in JEM. |

Ex-Lycos Asia colleague Timothy Low was there with his wife. |

Marlina came too and took this photo with 2 Alvins! |
