Robyn enjoyed a full day of rest at The Backpacker in Jinja. It was a day of doing nothing for her while Jin and Alvin went walking about Jinja town and picked up another Jodi Picoult's book, Nineteen Minute, for her.
A hue of blue black descended from the forehead to the eye...

25-27 Oct 2011: Healing at Sipi Falls, Uganda
On 25 Oct, Robyn was well enough to travel so we took a matatu from Jinja to Mbale, and then changed to another matatu to the Lacam Lodge at Sipi Falls. It was 3pm by the time we reached the lodge and we were famished.
The Sipi Falls surrounding is so tranquil and peaceful, with a gorgeous waterfall that shoot water down a great height. The place has a meditative quality. It's the perfect spot for Robyn to leverage the natural energy for healing and rest. For 3 days, we basically did nothing but read, eat and sleep.

Want nothing, do nothing, be nothing.
Anxiety arose when it was time to clean the wound and change the dressing. The stitches were holding in place and healing was well on its way. But the blue black became more pronounced.
Robyn now looks like Harry Potter...
Uganda will forever be imprinted on Robyn's head.

30 Oct 2011: Back at Children's Garden Home in Nairobi, Kenya
After 2 weeks away in Uganda, it was good to come 'home' to Children's Garden Home in Nairobi. We were pleased with progress made on the cow shed construction, the planting of tomato in the green house, birth of cute little chicks and the face mask learning workshop.

30 Oct: African Child Dance, Bollywood Style - "We wanna rock the world..."
Today was an exciting day. Alvin directed a Bollywood large-scale style video production of the African Child mass dance performance by all the children from CGH. Fortunately, we have a pro videographer, Frederigo, from Italy to take the HD video. Alvin peppered the entire scene with children, teachers and volunteers.
The children danced their heart out!
