6 Mar 2011: Bye Bye, Singapore, Family and Friends, We're Off for SEVA 2011

The Yongs at airport send-off

We finally embarked on our 9-month SEVA 2011 on 6 Mar 2011 and our first stop was the Art of Living Ashram in Banglaore.

We thank all our family and friends for such a warm and joyous send-off at the airport.

Let's stay in touch over email and we'll publish our experiences on this website.

See ya!

Thumbs up for a journey of a lifetime.

The Scent'al family

We took Air India from Singapore to Chennai on the night of 6 Mar and slept overnight at the airport. The next morning, we flew from Chennai to Bangalore.

We were excited as India is totally an unknown location for us. We have no idea what to expect but it's best to 'expect nothing, enjoy everything', just like what Neale said in Conversation With God series.

Our visa in India is for 6 months till Aug 2011. Thereafter, we shall continue our seva in Africa.

Bangalore airport

On 7 Mar 11.30am, we touched down at Bangalore airport. Thanks to the referral by Alvin's Art of Living teacher, Raquel, we made prior taxi arrangement and were off to the ashram in no time. Mmm, wonder how the ashram would be like...

India, here we stay for the next half a year...

Henceforth, we shall publish our SEVA 2011 journey in a weekly reflection format. Let's begin with Week 1.
