15 Feb 2011: CSR Art Collaboration between HSA and Katong School
This corporate social responsibility (CSR) project was designed by Alvin for Health Sciences Authority. It involved 40 HSA staff working in collaboration with 40 intellectual disabled children from Katong School on a clay tile art project over 3 sessions.
The adults and kids worked so well together, nurturing friendship and sparking creativity expressively.
The collaborative artwork was finally unveiled by Mr John Lim, CEO of HSA, on 15 Feb 2011.
Interestingly, the 1st collaborative session was carried out on Racial Harmony Day so the designs that the adults-kids teams created reflected the richness of our multi-cultures in Singapore.
The HSA staff met the kids again in Katong School 3 months later at the 2nd session to put on the beautiful colours onto the fired tiles.
Finally, the unveiling ceremony was held on Total Defence Day. It was a morning of warm interaction and meeting of 'old' friends.
The title of this collaborative artwork was aptly called HARMONY IN DIVERSITY.
We wish the friendship born out of this CSR project would continue for a long time to come...
