1 Jan 2008: Starting New Year 2008 with a Yoga Twist

The Yongs at yoga

On 1 Jan 08, we enjoyed our regular yoga session with friends at 6.30am at the Lookout Point at Hindhede Nature Park at Bukit Timah Nature Reserve. It was a great feeling to welcome the first rays of dawn on the very first day of 2008 with healthy breaths of pranayama and a wonderful series of asana.

It's also Alvin and Jin's 14th wedding anniversary on 1 Jan 2008!

We look forward to another good year of adventures, breakthroughs and accomplishments in 2008.

For sure, we'll get better in yoga.

Join us at The Lookout Point at Hindhede Nature Park every Sunday at 6.30-8am for sunrise yoga in a natural enviornment filled with the sweet sounds of birds and insects, and cool fresh air.

4 Jan 2008: Indian Vege Dinner at Saravana Bhavan

Robyn and Ranxuan

Ranxuan is one of my best friends in De La Salle School. We are both Brownies. This was Ranxuan's first Indian vegetarian dinner and I introduced to her my favorite dish - Paneer 65.

13 Jan 2008: Spring Cleaning for the Elderly with the Singapore Adventurers' Club

It's the time of the year to help the senior citizens spring clean their homes at Jalan Bukit Merah and Kim Tian Road.

We gathered at 8.30am under the able leadership of Cecilia Ong. This kind program is sponsored by long-time Singapore Adventurers' Club member Michael Chng. This year, many students joined us for this very worthwhile activity.

For this year's spring cleaning, Robyn showed that she was able to wash the toilet pretty much by herself. In addition, she swept and mopped the floor, helped to clear the fridge and also decorated the home.

Well done, Robyn! Together, we helped made the day for this elderly Uncle. We wish him Good Health and Happiness in the year of the Rat.
